Any Linux users around who copy audio CD's on the fly? With my old burner I did it all the time in gnome-toaster, but with the new one, it burns ass slow if I try that (like slower than my old burner did, and it was 4x, takes over an hour for a full CD) and when it finishes the CD doesn't work. XCDRoast will burn on the fly, but not audio CD's.

Any ideas? I don't really feel like ripping before I can burn, but I also need to burn CD's that work, and hopefully at full speed (48x for these CD-R's, my burner can do 52x).

As Zenn said try K3b. Its far and away the best burner for Linux, at least that I am aware of. YMMV

K3B is absolute crap IMO, I've had no success whatsoever with it, including some very nasty crashes. Plus I don't like KDE very much in general.

I now have my reader and my burner setup with SCSI emulation, and gnome toaster now burns on-the-fly successfully, just a lot slower than it ought to (slower than my 4x burner and 16x reader used to).

Audio is not a problem in itself, it's burning audio on-the-fly (without making an image first) that's a problem.
