Anyone know how to burn a movie from your computer in .avi format with div4 codec to a cd and play it in your DVD player? I have been told from a few friends that they can do it without a DVD burner, I just dont know how.

These are a list of guides. Each include text and pics to help step you through it.
But it's pretty straight forward; just use TMPGEnc to convert it to MPEG1 (for VCD) or MPEG2 (for SVCD) and then use something like Nero to make a VCD or SVCD.
VCD it the easiest and don't require any thing extra. SVCD requires that you pay for TMPGEnc Pro and Nero's MPEG2 plug-in.
