    I just burned my first data DVD since I upgraded to Tiger and they really have changed it. Before you would have to drag all the files onto the disk and wait like twenty minutes for the data to transfer into the temp file to get burned. Now with Tiger it creates links to the folders so all you have to do is drag the files to the disk and hit burn, it is durning the burning process that the files get found and thrown on the disk. :bowdown:

    Oh is that what the arrow means? I thought it was only going to burn the shortcuts to the file. I would hold down option so it copied the files to the actual disc.

    I just find it amusing how mac users take something that the PC has had forever, and then considers it something "new" and "revolutionary".

    Case in point :

    * dvd burning that makes sense.
    * scrolling touchpads.
    * multi-button mice.
    * etc.

    Is Nero not available for Macs? If it is, then Macs have had this forever also. Either way, it's much simpler when the system is integrated into the OS rather than an external program :)

    okay, so lets go that route. Windows has had this integrated since at least 2001. But I disagree... I think an external program is a much better solution.

    If an internal one brings it and does everything just the same why the hell would you need an external program if it was a carbon copy?

    its not a carbon copy. nero has many additional features/functions -- a true authoring program.

    I'll use the intergrated burner for just throwing data or mp3's to a disc. But I'll use Toast if I need to do more. Which is usually burning video DVD's.

    seriously kid, you need to quit putting words in people's mouths.

    just because we say we like a new feature in OS X or a new feature of Apple's hardware, doesn't mean we're claiming it's a feature never before seen by mankind. :squint:

    though you definitely seemed to be trolling when you first started posting in the mac shack, you were actually pretty cool for a while. unfortunately for us and you, you seem to have reverted to your original mode of behavior. doesn't help anyone here and does nothing for you aside from make everyone here wish you'd take a long walk off a short pier.
