I have found that after I burn a DVD I watch it a couple of times and it start skipping all over the place. Has anyone else had this problem? I have tried it in several DVD's and it does the same thing. Maybe it's the media or my burner is going bad?

It could be the media. What brand is it??

Through all of the CD's and DVD's I have made, I have noticed that they do seem to scratch easier. Maybe it's the media for me too? I mainly use Ritek media.

You can always try cleaning your DVD player too...

i don't see why it would be the player if they always work the first couple of times. unless the player is what is ruining them

Go check cdfreaks and other burning forums. Those freaks will know the cause. There can be many causes to this; media, firmware, speed of burner, maybe burner.

Most of the time, the media isn't good, or is being burnt to fast generating too many pif errors, whatever the hell that means. Try burning at a lower speed and see what happens.

But go to those forums, they will know.
