Got this idea from that sauna thread but I always wondered what time of year do you burn more caloires?

You would think summer since you sweat more but with you also burn calories in the cold with your body trying to warm up.

    any studies on this?

I've lost 10lbs each summer the past 2 summers. First time was from working outside, second time was driving across the US.

It only seems like you're sweating more because it takes longer for the sweat to evaporate and cool you. Sweat isn't exactly a measure of caloric burn.

All I know is for two weeks while I was up in michigan for x-mas I lost a good 3-5lbs and my diet was shit and I barely worked out. My body was working overtime to try and keep me cold(too used to suny florida I guess).

winter you'll burn more calories due to lower temps.

but you'll also tend to store fat more too :o
