Ran into a guy i used to fight train with. He's back in Canada after being in Switzerland for a few years. He's dropped the MMA thing and is now body building. He's probably the leanest i've ever seen anybody irl (full leg muscularity that's fucking mind blowing). He's 5 weeks into bulking, and says he's bulking low carb with refeed every week? He says his body isn't reaching ketosis, but he's still able to burn fat as fuel. Does this make sense? What's the science behind this?
