So yep, I'm sitting around 200lb, from 180lb a few months ago. I've noticed a few stretch marks forming around my glutes, biceps, hamstrings. Should I sit at this weight and let my skin get used to it and then continue bulking? Or just go for it?

There's some product available for women when they get preggas that you should check out. Walk into a chemist and have a chat with someone, can't hurt.

my guess is the stuff to reduce scars/burns will probably have the same effect on stretchmarks.

note to self: use cocoa butter for about 2 weeks prior to bulking in proned areas to promote greater elasticity of skin

I dont think anything can make them go away, but cocoa butter can supposidly prevent them.

I think the only thing that makes them go away, is by seeing a dermatologist, and have them laser them off??? I am going to my dermatologist tomorrow. I will ask him.

My dermatologist told me today, that they only way to remove them is to visit a My dermatologist told me today, that they only way to remove them is to visit a cosmetic dermatologist. It is basically the same technique used to remove tattoos. And that it costs somewhere in the area of 400 dollars an hour.

    mine are on my biceps

  18. its fucking horrible. i was just going to make a thread about this. i just found 2 on each of my shoulders as well as 1 right under my obliques and the start of one on my biceps. it's fucking pissing me off and it makes me want to stop for a while but i just can't.

    i'm getting consumed.

and to the people who say who cares? i do... other people don't want to see shiny ass white lines on me also.

and there isn't really a way to "prevent" it per se besides stopping lifting as hard and eating which is lame, because the skin is the largest organ on the human body and when you strain your muscles so much that they grow faster than the skin has time to expand you'll get em...

it's sort of a downer to see them but oh well...

i'm in a fuckin emo mood btw.

edit: when i said that there isn't a way to prevent it i meant that you'll have to swim in that cocoa butter shit to predict where you are going to be getting them because i've seen them appear in many different places each time but some go away. and they aren't fully going to prevent them from coming.

  21. sorry i was gonna specify but i just wanted to post that for other people for educational purposes to let them know what exactly happens in the process of getting them.

i dunno about the cocoa butter shit. the only sure treatment is the laser thing that guy mentioned for 400 an hr.

Either STFU and stop lifting or man up and ignore the little marks on your body

Cocoa butter won't fix stretch marks, it will just help prevent them by making your skin more elastic. There is a prtoduct that WILL take away stretch marks, but it's like 150 a bottle. It is called Strivetcin. I have seen it at Nordstrom and Meier and Frank (Macy's) in the women's makeup section. It really does work.
