Bulking rep question

    When bulking should I do high reps low weight or low reps heavy weight? I am hearing diff. things from diff people. Checked archives and came up blank.

    I was doing 15,10,8 , Today I switched it up and went 10,10,8 with more weight.

    heavy weights to failure, try to fail around 8-10 reps. Mix it up often, don't keep on doing the same rep ranges with the same workouts. It's good to work high and low rep ranges as they target different muscle fibers.

    Are you a fire fighter?

    I live in charlotte county. South west florida. Yeah I lost my stop in the academy when I broke my arm and July is when I got a spot back in. I graduate medic school in Aug. :cool:

    Do both. Just alternate on a set interval.

    starting fire/medics are making close to 40k. After probation and steps you get an increase.

    sounds similar to here, but I heard something about you guys are 24 on and 72 off... any truth to that?

    Depends on your goals. I saw the best mass gains @ 8-12 reps, but very minimal strength gains.

    in a BFI container down an alley
    This is the rep range I use and I also only rest 60 seconds, I gain strength though, its not noticable though until I do something in low rep range. Typically I go back to 3-6 reps and im always stronger when I do.

    I though it has been said that christophers' 5x5 is great for bulking...
