Bulking Q

    Bulk for a time period? or a target weight?

    Been bulking for 2 months now, thinking of going on a cutting diet for a month, then back to bulking.....

    talked to a bunch of people at my gym, and most talk about cycling bulking and cutting...

    Here is suspect i'll get more votes for target weight... which is basically an arbitrary number....

    2 months isn't very long.. if you're going for a set time, go longer than that

    I remember hearing something about a 3 month bulk 1 month cut cycle. :dunno:

    what would you recommend?

    incrementally, would bulking be easier after a cutting phase, than bulking while bulking?

    not really... its a nutrional question... im sure during the cutting phase, your metabolism will act differently than bulking

    I've been bulking since april/may and have really no set plan on when to cut unless I cant make weight in the spring.

    Been going since March. Not too sure when the stoppage will happen, but it's probably gonna be around 260-270. Not too concerned with weight right now really

    why you would cut in the winter is beyond me...there is NO POINT

    The point comes from my question on whether bulk/cut is better cyclical, or you should just bulk until and keep putting on muscle fat until you feel like cutting..

    Wouldn't a really long bulk make the cutting very difficult to maintain, as you'd be running a slight defecit over a long length of time....run too big a defecit and you are working away muscle, too little and it'll take you another 6 months to look how you want to...
