bulking & on the 5x5 starr's/chris' routine...

    eating lots of clean high protein foods & following the weightlifting routine:

    bodyweight going up - check
    big 3 5RM's going up - check
    having noticable size increases of chest, arms, legs - check

    ONLY thing is... i want to feel tighter in my pecs & abs.

    5' 11" started @ 147lbs, now @ ~169, gonna keep bulkin to ~185. i love the energy lift i get from calorie loading & i get my biggest gains when im eating alot.

    but like i said, im feeling soft in certain spots & am getting impatient to get into somewhat of a cutting cycle to lean out & feel tighter in the pecs&abs.

    is it ok to cut on this routine or is it strictly for size/strength only?

    im on his routine as well, i do abs after every workout. i also em thinking about throwin in curls on wed since its so light of a day

    I threw in accessory exercises like pullthroughs, hypers, abs on weds. Also tried to to either hypers or abs on m/f since I know they are my weak points.


    Also, you could cut on this routine, but any heavy carb depletion will kill your workout intensity...

    honestly i consider wednesday to be the toughest of all the days.

    mainly because I mix up the styles of shoulder press that i do:
    3 sets of standing BB shoulder press
    3 sets of seated DB shoulder Press
    & then do the dips
