Yes, I know bulk for the winter. The problem is I play :highschool: football and barely get in a good lift a week. The weekends I usually work and the gym closes by the time I'm done.... I've gained a lot of weight, a lot of fat, since the summer. I'm now at 210-215 at 6'1. My waist is at a 36-38 and all my pants dont fit anymore. Should I just screw it and bulk for the rest of the winter? Or cut, I'll post pics toinght.

waist sounds pretty high, so do what feels comfortable... winter time is approaching, which leaves you 4-5 months to add on some muscle and cut it down before summer starts again

...but if you're playing football right now, cutting would be murder...your body needs all the nutrients it can get and if you're playing/practicing every day, it will be extremely difficult to get fat

LOL, in season lifting is alot different from off season lifting. It's hard to get a good lift in after a 3+ hour practice.

That's why you lift in the morning, during your study hall or before practice. When game days roll around and you haven't lifted that day you will be in much better shape.

No offense but your coach is retarded if he's only having JV lift the infrequently. If I were you I'd find a way to get some more gym time in otherwise you're going to be on JV a long time. Even if it means getting to school at 5:45 to work out, which I can tell you sucks but was well worth it in the end. If that is not an option I suggest investing in some weights for your basement.
