Not bad for a first try. Obviously it needs some tweaking and buttoning up but it cost me practically nothing:

Took a few hours to do. The biggest PITA was peeling the protective layer off the lexan. None of it was cooperative and it just kept tearing off little pieces. Without that this is an 1-2hr project tops.

These are almost straight outta the camera exposure wise.

    I apparently can't post links yet....wtf. Really?

That is the only way I was able to submit the thread w/out getting an error about posting links. Fucking stupid.

Something I need to address is lowering the top so I can get a hard line reflection on small objects. And obviously something like the PS3 is too large unless the room is dark and I can extend the box more.

I have the magnets used on kitchen cabinet doors on the lexan with the flat, metal pieces on the gatorfoam. So the whole thing just clicks into place and is really secure. Plus it quickly breaks down flat and can be toted around in a portfolio case.

K, this is my first attempt and I can see I need to tweak the colors more here & there. More post work really.

But this is my first ever shot at something like this and I'm pretty happy with the results right off the bat. They can only get better right?

This is how the sides are held against the rear board. One on top, one on bottom. The top is held on by one set toward the front and I used a white magnet set. The infinity plane is just held in place by the sides squeezed slightly in and the bottom sits free.

I'm loving this thing. I gotta figure out how to lower the top so I can get sharper highlight lines. I was thinking of fishing line and just cradling it from the sides. Beauty of the magnets is I can tweak how wide it goes quickly.

It says I'm not allowed to post links. Hopefully that changes at 100.

You glued the magnets to the lexan?

Looks like you get better light dispersion with the frosted lexan then i see other people get with like trace paper.

Yea. The lexan is the stuff used pretty much in any sign you see that's internally lit. They color it with translucent vinyl.
