I want to start to build some muscles in my arm and chest area and this is the first time I am really going to get serious about it but I want to start out light since I've never really gotten serious about it before. Basically a noob at this.

I basically would like to build my general all around arm muscles (biceps, triceps, etc.) and Also my chest Muscles.

I'm planning on buying a good bike now so I can do some riding and I also will possibly do some jogging.

But my MAIN objective is not to lose weight as I am not really overweight, prolly not in my supposed weight range, but thats something else, My main deal is to build up my arm/chest muscles.

Any suggestions on specific excerises I can do?

I have already started the usual arm curls with some small weights. I plan to increase gradually. I also want to get a good weight set and maybe a curved dumbbell weight bar.

    Thanks for any Info :bigthumb:

if you're only planning on doing arms and chests, then you won't be doing 'serious weightlifting'

Edit to try not to be a dick. You can read basic fitness information in the archives. I would also read up at www.johnstonefitness.com and www.bodybuilding.com

cliffs: compound lifts are your friend, by lifting heavy in other areas (legs, back) you can stimulate growth everywhere, and you'll be more proportional :). Don't concentrate on just arms and chest, do squats, deadlifts, and bench and then worry about isolation lifts.

It's ok, he was born without legs, shoulders, or a back. Chest and arm muscles are all you need for the beach!
