    Black Friday at best buy has an envision 22" widescreen for 150, I have one that I paid 200 for and it is amazing and I am thinking about picking up another on black Friday

    gaming and i have the computer priced around 1400, i dont exactly need a new monitor but i would like to go bigger than my current 18 inch lcd.

    i could fit a couple hundred more into the budget.

    swap the existing board for one using the P35 chipset instead of the nvidia one, the nvidia ones run significantly hotter than the 650 and 680i chipsets.
    Also, switch from the 8800gts to the 8800gt. Much better card.

    I was under the impression the gts is a better card than the gt but less than the gtx

    Changed to 8800gtx and im looking to change the board. Also picked a 22 inch acer wide screen

    if you keep that board, you could run 2 GTs in SLI for about the same price as the GTX. and i'm pretty sure it would perform better

    If you're going to get the GTX card, then you probably aren't thinking SLI anymore.

    So theres a lot of good boards you can pick from. Gigabyte boards are my favorite overclockers.

    If you have no intention of overclocking then you want to go with an Intel board.
