Hi guys. I am building a simple site that will be a mixture of blog postings, media (video and pics), and...well, that's about it. It's going to be craziness creatively, but nothing complex technically. I want it to be very simple, but also have a nice look to it.

I built a really good looking site in iWeb, but my situation is that I don't actually own a mac, so maintaining it would be shitty.

I've looked a bit into wordpress, but haven't (yet) found a theme I like. Is that the best free way to go? I'm pretty much a newb to this, although I could do some simple html editing and such if needed. What's the best way to go about doing this?

Am I basically just going hit or miss on finding good themes?

There are a ton of free wordpress themes, be sure to look beyond just the ones hosted on wordpress.org. It isn't terribly difficult to tweak a theme somewhat to your needs.

And how is it that this works when you download a theme? As in, how am I editing it? Does it come with a built in editor?

    Just get wordpress.

Its extremely easy to use and install. You dont need software to edit and and crap. You do it all online.

Themes you simply upload, and choose install, then activate. That's it. All your content is there, on a new theme.
