Decided its time to put together a system of my own. Sold my laptop for 500 bucks so im putting that into getting a new one. Need some advice though, heres what I got so far.

Im thinking about getting this motherboard, but i think its a little overboard for me since I dont really do alot of gaming (yet at least, but hey what better time to start). Anyways, even if I dont do gaming is this a good motherboard to go with?

Can anyone explain to me why it has two Onboard LAN's? I highly doubt im going to be using the SLI feature but im sure its nice to have for the future.

Power supply will be something 500+W, havnt really looked for one yet, but can anyone recommend some reliable brands? I heard Antec was good.

Now, what I need some help on is what processor to get. Or any other recommendations for motherboards. Ive decided to go AMD 64bit.
So far ive looked into these two:

    AMD Athlon 64bit X2 3800+ ($322)

    or

    AMD Athlon 64bit 3700+ San Diego ($233)

I'd like to go with the X2 4400+ but its more than I want to spend (close to 500 bucks) Im trying to see if I can find a good deal, if I can then who knows. But anyways, any input/advice is appreciated.

Also anyone know where I can get a good deal on a good LCD? Also what are some good LCD brands?

yea i dont think ill ever use it.

regardless of the SLI, you think thats a good motherboard? for some reason i really like this one even though most have the same specs and are cheaper, as stupid as that sounds.
