due to budgetary constraints and whatnot ive decided to consider building my own home gym after i got booted from my old one and the only others around are too expensive or too shitty

so are there any sites with tutorials on how to, for instance, build a decent squat rack (that can support up to 500 lbs on a bar) or a bench etc

only need it as a temporary fix before i go back to the school gym in september so if there is anyone who knows how to make plates out of cement for instance itd be a great help

also atlas stones but I pretty much know how to make those..and i have a tire

    1. deadlifting reasonably loud
    2. trainer bitched at me from across the room
    3. i blew her off
    4. another trainer guy came few days later, blew him off because i was doing rows when he was telling me to not make noise
    5. told the original trainer's client she should prolly take her money elsewhere
    6. someone bitched
    7. membership revoked
    8. lulz for everyone

what i dont get is there are guys pulling 600 and whatnot thundering the weight down and shouting and grunting and the kid who 99% of the time lifts quietly gets kicked for..whatever

when it happened i was only pulling 425 or something for triples

because once you befriend trainers/staff you can get away with a lot. I use chalk and pull heavy making tons of noise at the school gym all the time.

the manager at my gym came up to me and asked me to keep my chalk in my bag because it could get on the floor and his employees would have to clean it up.

:ugh: wtf are they there for? to watch TV behind the counter? he's never said anything else to me. and i use my chalk all the time

    this.

    craigslist ftw
that's where i got most of my stuff.

you could even try posting that you want weights, the cement kind, and you might get them free. nobody buys those anymore and people need to get rid of them.

 I was using chalk for deads after someone else had also used chalk and made a mess on the floor. I went to get some water and when I came back there was an employee over where the chalk was and he starts asking me questions to find out if its me and then telling me it's not allowed, etc. He remained calm but I could see the fire in his eyes like he wanted to kill me right there on the spot :mamoru:

I don't understand what the big deal is. They mop the floor like every other day anyways....
