Yeah it's the Buick flavor of the original Cavalier and they did offer turbo fours.

Front what I konw, they use Opel/vauxhaul Turbo engines, I think the designation was C20GET. They interchange quite a bit with the Calibra/astra turbo's available in OZ/south africa/Europe. Also the Daewoo badged cars here had n/a version of the motor. The DOHC heads are a direct swap, though the better option is to get the Opel head as they are cosworth tuned.

There was a grand am in 1990 that had this same engine, not a huge amount on the net about them unfortunately.

Check out this thread on tremek.com the owner of the car (and his son) are in that thread, perhaps they can lead you to more info.

    Thats some interesting shit man.

I had an 85 Citation X11 clone. I found out about the X11 package from the original owner who banged up the original hood and found an X11 hood to put on, and also put the rear wing on. Damned cool looking car I thought.

I lucked the hell out and spend 4 hours sitting in a parking lot waiting for the guy to sell me his X11 wheels that he had just put on a POS Grand Am that wasn't running. I swapped him new tires on my 13" rims and took the 14"s (I believe).

Your post for some reason encouraged me to search up Citations and I have found an 80s GM i'd actually want to own...

IIRC that was built by yenko in the early 80's. I remember reading about it in my "V6 Performance" book. this book was written in like 1983/4 so there wasn't a whole lot on the chevy 60deg V6. incidentally, the name 660 on that car stood for 6 cylinders, 60 degree block. it had something stupid like 200+ hp from that V6 in very early 80's.

My folks first new car was a Citation. They said it was the biggest lemon they'd every seen.

My sister's first car was a Buick Skyhawk. Non-turbo 4dr sedan though.

That motor looks a lot like the motor from the turbo sunbirds....probably a lot more info on the web about them.
