I mostly just buff cars after a fresh paint job, but I do not do it often, so I have alot of room for improvement. Any good tips? After my sanding I usually use a foam pad and Meguiars compound at 1500rpm, then go to a polishing pad w/ polishing glaze around 1200rpm. It looks ok, but could be better. Any ideas? Is it better to move the buffer around fast or slow? Do I just go all over, or should I go left to right in lines, or up and down? Is there anything else I should do before or after the compound and glaze to get a better shine?

    Thanks!

    Go to www.meguiars.com

They have downloadable videos that show proper wetsanding and buffing techniques.
