Kinda surprised no one mentioned this down here.
Harley is going to focus on it's core brand and has killed off Buell and will sell MV Augusta.
As a Buell owner this is rather sad, especially seeing as how buell was finally breaking away on it's own with it's own engine.

What do you mean its own engine? They have rotax engines.

It was a good try, but Harley should stick to making heavy chrome motorcycles with bad gas mileage for fat old bald guys.

thank god they are selling MV. Having HD own one of the most technologically advanced and hand crafted bikes was just horrid.

Ya I don't feel like they have enough market share to make sence for Harley to keep them up and running.

While I was looking at my first bike to buy I rode a Buell Blast and it was actually pretty comfortable and with as much power as I wanted (around Ninja 250 level), but it was way loud. Although maybe that's better for a beginner LOL.

Too bad. I kinda a fantasy that I'd get a Thunderbolt someday; I really liked the design of that bike. It was never going to happen, but it was fun to daydream about it.

I know that Ferdinand Piech is looking to buy a motorcycle brand. Maybe soon you can buy your future MV Augusta at the local Lamborghini- or Bugatti dealership.

They said they are going to concentrate on their core business. That means they plan on dropping all motorcycles and stick to what they know....t-shirts and trinkets

I'd love to see an American company make a sportbike. There was a time Chrysler made (damn good) boats. If Suzuki can make cars and bikes, why not GM or Chrysler?
