You likely live in a state with terrible gun laws that make it more pain to do business in your state than just go without some sales. Maryland?

some states consider it the fault of the original dealer if a gun, no matter how many times re-sold, the gun is used in a crime.

as mentioned above, some states are just a PITA to deal with, and as a result, the dealer decides to not sell into that state.

    move to a better state

    Commonwealth sounds like MA.

Sorry dude, move to FA or accept that the officials voted into office disdain and mistrust the common man.

Bud's ship to CA as long as it's on the CA approved list. CDNN just decided for their own reasons not to ship to CA. Much of their stuff is special run, or LEO marked trade in's that are not on the CA list anyway.

Sig226 is fairly common. Support your local gun store and pay a little more. If you and other don't then your local gun store will be gone. It is tough for the bussiness to survive in states with stupid gun laws. I try to do my part.

Another thing since many of my guns end up being built up as competition guns I want to see them first hand and check the tolerences. I particularly look for slide to frame fit and when I find one I want that exact same one. Not another one like it from the warehouse. I don't care if it's a display model.

normally I agree. I purchase all my "mainstream" firearms retail. The few exceptions would be like a mosin where its signifigantly cheaper to deal online C&R. Although I would feel confident ordering something like a STI sight-unseen (or something else of such high quality).
