so i m looking for something under $120 for the 235/45/17 stock rims
i want something that last longer
i m thinking about getting the kumho 712
my local tire place tell me to get some copper talon ? i never heard abt them

Does Fuzion make a tire that will fit. The ZRi's are pretty good.

dude don't cheap out on the only things that keep your car connected to the ground

if you live somewere that doesn't have harsh winters get a set of the stock advans off someone who is swapping them off for winter tires, the advans are REALLY bad in the snow and if you live in a place were you don't get snow they should be fine, and cheap

if you don't have snow, get advans or toyo proxes

if you have a little snow and want all seasons, get conenental extreme contacts

if you have a lot of snow, get some winter tires ( blizzacks or something )

just for the love of god don't put trash tires on your evo

i put the 712s on my car and hated them. They where loud with no traction and they got spent pretty fast.

From looking at a few magazines, I've heard that tires are probably not something you want to skimp on with an Evo, at least if you drive hard. The car was pretty much designed around the stock AO46s, and using other tires tends to change the behavior quite a bit.

    Just be careful.

Same thing on my buddys ricer accord. 4-5months if that. Needed front end alignment so they went real quick, but even then the rears were at about the TWI's

go with falken ziex 512. decent grip, 360 treadlife...not in your price range, but relatively affordable.

please dont do kumhos........they suck major balls unless you get the MX or their competition tire (which i would hope you would for a dd car.....hehe, that would be sick though)

personally for a street radial with good life and good lateral road holding capabilities (for a cheap price) i suggest the Hankook K104

    good tire all around

yes fuzion makes tires that will fit his car. The largest i think they make is a 275 (my front tires :))

what do you do with your car??? that would help with picking tires and what performance aspect are you trying to accent???

P.s. -- you can thank me later http://www.roadwaywholesaletire.com/RESULT.asp?type=year

someone said something about azenis'..........they are Great tires too, you will see the biggest difference in handling from tires alone. So choose wisely Azenis' would be my TOP pic for you to get, however they wont last as long as the hankook or a fuzion will. but you have to sacrifice something for performance, just how much are you will to is the question?

Kumho 712's suck balls, especially in the wet. Unless you drive like a pussy they will also wear out FAST on an EVO.

Falken ZEIX-512's are strictly for lower-powered cars. I have some on my slowtege' and lose grip sometimes when cornering. They are otherwise excellent in the rain, but the power of an EVO will quickly destroy them & piss you off.

Falken Azewnis 615's are good, better wet traction & lighter in weight than the 215's but higher priced. You can probably still get a set for around 150 per tire for your car. I'd recommend them.

But I'd HIGHLY recommend the new Hankook RS2's. I have these on my streetcar and while they aren't quite as grippy as the 615's they cost me 80 per tire (instead of 130 for 205/50 16's) and have acceptable wet traction! They are also quite quiet, look good on the rims & don't seem to be wearing particularly fast which is always a plus :)

i've had hankook rs2's since they first came out about 10 months ago... they are awesome. i switched from yoko avs es100's and the difference is unreal. if you're in the market for some sticky tires and don't want to spend a ton of cash, look no further.
