I'd like to have a VX-III 3.5-10x40 or 50mm or a 4.5-14x50mm but you're talking around atleast $450 for the 3.5-10x40 and it goes higher from there :hs: I'm thinking about a bushnell elite 4200 2.5-10x40, I want a gloss scope and they're hard to find in a magnification I want.

Have you looked into these? They're fixed power but supposed to be EXTREMELY clear and very durrable. 30mm tube too.

I've never heard of those before, they look pretty nice :coold: I've I was looking for a scope for varmint hunting I'd definately consider those but I'm going to buy a new deer rifle so variable magnification is a must (Well for me atleast). Plus I really don't need target knobs either. :o

Indeed, fixed power is the only drawback. It's easier (read: cheaper) to make a quality fixed power scope then it is to make a variable power scope for obvious reasons.

Everybody needs target knobs and a mildot thought. Never know when you might need to take a deer at 400 yards. :bigthumb:

My cousin tried to tell me that a scope is a scope and it doesnt matter if you pay $100 or $400, they'll both aim the same :hsugh: He had a BSA 6-20x50 on his .243 (before he got it stolen). I think he paid $85 for it :ugh:
