I downloaded a trogan virus last night by mistake. It came in as an divx upload but it wasn't. I ran nortons and it showed that a browser.exe trogan virus was installed. Nortons could not remove it but it did quarantine it. So, how do I go about removing it for good. It keeps trying to access my web browser but I keep clicking no. Please help.

    Trogan virus eh?

Aptly named after the ingenious Trogan horse that was used during the Trogan war centuries ago.

Seriously though...check out http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ and scan your system...or try scanning it using your Norton installation in Safe Mode.

When Norton puts it in quarantine, the virus is dead for all intents and purposes.
But if you still want to remove the listing, you can find it under histories.
Select virus history, and right click it and select delete permanantly.

Open Norton Antivirus, open the Quarantine file, and delete the virus.

And the reason it couldn't remove the virus is because it had already quarantined it -- the virus file no longer existed.
