Find me this gun, I can't find it anywhere.
Had a buddy pick one of those up not too long ago, and I know he was having trouble finding one. I believe he got it ordered from a local store, though I'm not sure which distributor had one in stock.
I did the BHP thing, and think the CZ 75SA is a far better way to fly FWIW.
local shop here has a used browning hi power for sale. i think they were asking like 1100$ or something. seemed pretty expensive to me, what do they usually go for? also i don't think this one was two-tone like the one in the picture.
Holy shit. Who had it?
HP's are kinda like 1911's in that some bring a premium as far as "collectibility" is concerned. Usually these are older examples though.
I've snagged them in the $5xx range before, though he's wanting a practical, which will bring more $$ (not to mention the HC frame). Regardless, BHP's aren't really a "cheap" gun.
Shooters, ever been there?
Not since they opened their new store up.
They used to have fairly decent pricing on ammo and components. Might have to swing by there sometime.
CZ75sa has higher capacity and better trigger
their defense and hunting ammo might not be horrible but i try not to buy target ammo there. i'm not sure about their components. now that i think about it a little more they maybe have been asking more like 1200$ for that bhp.
My dad has two pristine BHPs that he's had for probably 25+ years. One is a 9mm Mark1 and the other is a .40. He says he doesn't even really like them that much ... I'm hoping they will be given to me shortly, just for the collectibility of them since they are 70's or 80's era in perfect condition.
From a range trip a few years ago ... middle shelf on the left. He keeps it in the original box he bought it in.
fn hi power > *
Yeah, my dad has 5 he bought in the early 70's. He has only fired 1, the other 4 are all NIB. Apparently 1 is "mine" but I am not allowed to have it.
I like the Mark I's
?? They switched to the external extractor for reliability, right? Why would the older P35 be the better weapon? Or are you talking about strictly from a collector's standpoint?
Mostly collectible, I have one and it has never failed, it is the same design as the 1911 which seems to function well. Again though mainly from a collectible point of view, the internals are earlier guns.
I love Hi Powers.
oh shit another nky cincy crew member that makes 4 of us, which shooters shooters supply ohio or shooters supply and sporting goods ky?
I has one from the 70s, I like it.
Easy as fuck to strip and clean too.
I really want one of these.
BTW where do you guys get your mags at for the BHP? Note I am in a crappy state so only can order them in 10 rounds or less.
NKY. Where's the one in OH at? I've only been to TagetWorld up that way.
The one in ohio is in my home town loveland about 5 exits east of targetworld off 275. No shooting range, owned by different people, but pretty good deals on guns even greater customer service there.
Fuck, that's too far for me.
I usually shop around central KY for gun stuff. I don't ever seem to find much the further north I go.
Loveland.... Really? My apologies bro. You need to GTFO and come move to the country.
