Bro's, my traps are burned/red as fuck and hurting from squats..

    I wore a full t-shirt too, no beater or anything like that. What the fuck else can I do to stop this? I'm going to have nasty marks on my traps from the bar, more than I already do. Do I need to bust out the pussy pad or what? :o

    Does that always happen?

    I usually get red lines on my shoulders/traps, but it doesn't hurt. That really only happens with "heavy" squats.

    You could try lowering the bar a bit?

    when I do back squats or GM's regularly my skin turns into a darker color where the bar rests... it also feels like leather.

    There are pads that you can buy that might help counteract that. I get those red marks too and not even on squats.

    that's what i do... i still get the red spiderweb marks sometimes, but never really any pain

    what helps me is getting my hands really close together on the bar... that forces the upper back to coem together so that way i don't have to focus on flexing my traps when I'm squatting, it just happens naturally.

    I have my browser really small at work and it took me a good 20 seconds scrolling up and down to figure out what that was.

    what Sylva said will remedy this...at the most you'll get a little red line for a few hours after you squat across the back, but it fades quickly
