Which should I use on a 9mm pistol? Does it vary from gun to gun?
Either will work though bronze can give you false readings when cleaning because solvents will dissolve them. Just stay away from steel.
false readings with a bore brush? what the fuck?
copper solvents can slowly corrode a bronze or copper brush, giving false signs of copper.
I use a boresnake with the bristles pulled out.
but not that worrisome
It is to me if I'm trying to get my bore clean and it keeps showing me there's copper in it.
if you have fuckin OCD i guess then ya
Nylon brushes won't get out copper fouling unless you're using a copper solvent too. I like a bronze brush every few cleans to help get the crap out, and a nylon just for rubbing carbon buildup, especially around the chamber.
Yeah, why try to get a barrel as clean as possible when testing a load for accuracy?
God, I'm so crazy.
Do you have a Ransom Rest or something?
