Depends :dunno: I like the Used and the shit I use for a workout mix is pretty screamo

I'm just sick of overhearing all the bro talk from the guys who weigh less than the dumbbells I use and the shit music they play at commerical gyms/university rec centers :hs:

    Not particularly.

Taking Back Sunday is pretty awesome all around.

The Used has some decent stuff.

AFI has a couple good songs for working out.

All American Rejects (not really screamo) are also awesome.

Saosin has some good shit, esp when they had Anthony Green as lead vocals.

From First to Last, Fall of Troy, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Circa Survive, A Thorn for Every Heart, Anatomy of a Ghost, Finch, Emery, Brand new...

    All good bands man.

If you've ever been depressed, mad at the world, or hated an ex gf then screamo / emo is good for stirring up the inner animal in you.

How it is for me anyway. :dunno:

Yeah, I really didn't start listening to any of that stuff until I got dumped from a 5 year relationship.

After that, it was all I listened to for a while... Shit made me feel better.

The fact that you didn't mention Senses Fail is beyond me. A few of those bands are decent at BEST (with the exception of Brand New who are just fantastic).

If you're looking to get jacked up for a PR today listen to Ali for Cody by Senses Fail for the breakdown at the end (same goes for Still Searching by them, mostly good for their breakdowns really). And Thrice and Thursday are great.

Oh shit J-dawg... I just checked my Ipod (because Brand New) sounded familiar and it turns out I have like 3 of their albums in my Ipod... Just never listened to it.

I'm listening to some of it now, i'll let you know what I think.

No way to decent. You're not listening to the right songs then.

I've only heard like 2 songs from Senses Fail and they were ok, Still Searching being one of them.

Same goes for Thrice and Thursday.

Brand New stirs the FUCK out of me, but mostly really if you look into the significance of their songs.

If you're a BN fan then look up the story behind their song Limousine.

    Fuck.

    Yep.

It was awesome hearing someone else hating their ex too and yelling all the shit I was thinking. It also wakes you up and makes you realize how fucked up the relationship was to begin with.

Taking Back Sunday were my boys in this regard.

I've heard every song by all of those bands. My roommate manages a punk band and I was into that music for god knows how long... even chilled with some of them.
