Inspired by DTR's thread... how many of you brolys have pretty successful career/jobs and when people hear about it, they go :ugh: since they're expecting a dumb jock/meathead?

I remember Acura TL-S (dunno if he's still around) going to med school and he was pretty broly so I thought that was awesome  I know there's some CPAs, lawyer, engineers, etc... so what kind of stories do u guys have when people find out what you really do.

Contractors call me the hired muscle, more or less cause Im an intern and just listen to what our QA says and dont say much around them. Im also expected to move everything. Some one paged me to replace the water jug on the cooler, I mean we have 4 women in our office and I have no problem replacing it for them, but fuck dude you are a grown man, grow a pair. Shit only weighs 45 pounds. And one of our interns calls me Meaty boy, I told her Ill give her the meat.

Now I used to know a Pro Strongman who had a PHD and worked on nuclear things and he'd get shit all the time. In fact he was featured in news articles just because of the fact that he had such a high education and was also a Pro Strongman.

when compared to the general population of fat overweight slobs, or scrawny skinny-fats, it doesn't take much to be "broly". of course it depends on your line of work too.

my field is predominantly females, with the males being nerdy asians at 5'8 and 135lbs. :hsd:

That's all I've got to offer too. I'm not brolytastic, but people notice my arms/strength a fair amount, especially when I'm hauling around more equipment than the guys I work with.

Main thing is I get made fun of to NO end for bringing a cooler, drinking water/diet soda, and not eating out. It's a constant source of  for me, especially coming from the typical fatties I work around.

Its funny, b/c I workout so much everyone expects me to be some heavy object moving savant at work.

I'm thinking: motherfucker--i did legs yesterday and woke up a 5am this morning to fit in 4 miles of fasted cardio pre-work, it hurts to even set down or stand up, what the fuck makes you think i want to carry that 75lb box up a flight of stairs for you?

I can only imagine how bad that shit must be for those dedicated to working out AND have to work construction/manual labor. My hat goes off to you.

    I fucking hate that.

At my last part time job (some bs job I had while in school) I was doing inventory crap for a small-furniture/bath accessory store. Most of the dudes there were gay and in turn, rather skinny and weak with the exception of a one other guy who barely worked because he had another full-time gig.

Whenever stuff had to get moved I was always the one that was expected to do it. They even had to do a new floor plan which required moving all the couches, beds and dressers. I was unavailable because I had night class that day, so they purposely went out of their way to reschedule the move to the morning so I could help out.... In a store of 20+ people, they revolved the entire thing around me being there to help move shit

Normally I would take it as a compliment, but I wasn't getting paid extra to move twice the shit that the skinny twinks couldn't.

Yeah, I don't mind too much because it doesn't happen often. And I do the water bottle thing now out of courtesy, and because I just sit there and drop a set of 50 lateral raises with them in front of the office broads, then hit a most muscular before kissing both my biceps.

I'm at the point now that when I walk into a room with a DOT lawyer they are all like "FUCK, OK dude, you're HUGE, we'll drop our proposed civil penalty, just give us lifting tips!"
