i stubbed my toe pretty badly over a month ago... seems to have healed pretty much except pressure at certain angles causes excruciating sharp pain :hsd:

should it have healed by now? will I need surgery or something? :noes:

If it was broken it usually takes 6-8 weeks. Why didn't you go the doctor?

there's really nothing you can do for a broken toe...

I dropped a plate on my big toe a while back...it hurt for a while but it didn't affect my lifting/life that much...

I used to get broken toes pretty often from them getting stomped on while playing ball.. really nothing you can do, shouldnt get in the way of anything unless maybe if its a big toe.

it is my big toe... and it's different from dropping I would think

after I stubbed my toe it was compressed for a short time  .. pretty freaky. i'm just worried some bones are broken or something and that's why it hurts... maybe surgery needed to remove em? :noes:

Well, you can't put a cast on it, but possibly it would need to be set back into place. I don't know, I've never broken my toe, but I've broken PLENTY of other bones. :o

I broke my toe once , nothing the Doctors could do. It hurt for about 2 months on certain movements. Only after the 3rd month was I able to perform all functions normally. I had the same concerns but in time everything got fixed.

This old guy who used to train at our gym and was there that night was a bone doctor, he's the one who told me there was nothing that could be done.

i broke my toe and i taped it to the next toe. i had to. it was state tae kwon do championships. (continuing to kick people with a broken toe = FTL)
i also didn't realize it was broken. it just hurt like a sonofabitch.
it healed crooked and it still is to this day.
    works just fine.

to fix it, i was told they'd have to re-break it and pretty much do the same thing. tape it to another toe or put my foot in a cast of some kind to keep me off that foot for 6 weeks or so. and with no guarantee it'd be straight.
i can't afford to be on my ass for 6 weeks, and i don't really want my toe broken again.

so heal it right the first time!

for toes all you can really do is buddy tape them and try to limit mobility until it is recovered.
