we count every 'attempt' in the navy...but you have to be like at the very end of your effort to have those half ups counted haha

I did 100 once when I was like 15-16, can barely do 25 now, but I'm not in the military either.

I use to do the max and stop, but it's an extra point for each additional push-up and sit-up in the extended scale. 339 was my last score.

excelling at PT is really the first mark a new officer can make in the unit. we arent going to come in with any real technical 'know-how' or any knowledge of how the army/military really works...the best we can do is at least show up in shape and ready to learn

imagine how stupid they would look if they fell out of the ruckmarch and have 0 army leadership skills..then they are useless beyond repair :o

i did the same as a LT, i would overachieve on everything...then somewhere along the lines my care factory emptied out

just do an assload of pushups. i'm stuck at 90 right now. hoping to break 100 soon.

my run time is what kills me, i can just barely get in below 13, and on a bad day i won't.

I like to imagine the shooter from yesterday as a worthless LT that somehow managed to make it to Major.

I only pushed out 41 pushups this past Monday on my APFT which barely put me passed 60% for my age group. My final APFT for Basic training is this coming Monday. I hope to getpassed 70% this time. 58 situps, 13:55 run time. It's annoying when I try to focus on working out my body, but all my drill sgts are focused on punishing the body.
