welp, after 2 years of owning an iPhone with out even dropping it once and causing any cosmetic damage the LCD screen is shattered.

I was chillen in my roommates room playing some COD, went downstairs to get a cup o' joe, come back upstairs pick up my phone and get a glass splinter! guess i stepped on it/ sat on it :noes:

I ordered http://www.amazon.com/iPhone-Cracke...cement/dp/B002VDSZII/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top this and plan on trying to replace it next week. any tips or tricks i should know before attempting this??

It's the glass only, not the whole display. When Apple replaces the display, they replace the glass, digitizer and lcd as a single part.

replaced my glass an hour ago, just remember this thread lol

works perfectly, as new. i spent 85 bucks though :( i opted for the glass/digitizer/frame assembly. I really didn't want the hassle of using a heat gun, prying, sticking adhesive.. one shot replacement deal. I figured the less aggravation was worth the money

90% of people who do it themselves with all those other steps fuck up their LCD and end up spending more than 85 bucks on more new parts ora new phone.

    good decision
