Only took six months to break a kydex belt clip.
So I go to order some new clips, $15 for the clips, and $7.50 to ship.
FUCK THAT. Im going to order a leather IWB holster and use a paddle holster until I can find something.
No way in hell am I going to let comp-tac screw me over their shitty design.

I am not a ctac fan ($7.50 for priority mail has always pissed me off). Its cool they're comping you on the clips though. I can't say enough good things about lou alessi's customer service and his leather.

You have to thread your belt through the CTAC clips. If you slide them down over the belt...they break.

I don't do that, and I haven't had any breaks yet. I do need some locktite for the screws though. they keep unscrewing.

The lady at Comp Tac told me that slipping them over the belt (especially 1.25 belts like mine) is what makes them break.

thats downright stupid. the clips are designed and the holster is marketed as a convenient holster that can be used without taking your belt off. i cant see why they would discourage slipping the clips over a belt. the clips barely flex going over a belt anyways, and i dont see how the width of the belt would really matter. the thickness would make more difference if that mattered at all, which it doesnt.
i think what makes them break is shitty manufacturing, although i suppose comp-tac buys their kydex from someone else, so quality of the kydex isnt directly their fault.
