I'm 15, I live in MA, and I'll be working at my Boy Scout camp this summer, and its in NH. I was wondering if it would be legal for my .22 (my father is the legal owner) to be brought up there, and kept in possession of the rifle range instructor. as long as I'm up there. Since the people here probably wouldn't know, as all state laws differ, does anyone know of a place where I could find an answer?

if it's in your possession, alone, with no adults around, you're nearly guaranteed to be breaking the law. other than that, so long as the rifle itself doesn't break the law (which it almost ceratainly won't, being a .22) you're set.

It would stay in the possession of my dad right up to the point when the range instructor takes it. It would be locked up with the other rifles when not in use. I would only be using it when the range instructor is there.

I don't think that would be a problem.
