Which do you use? I know AK's are indestructible so I figure steel is fine.:noes:

Steel works just fine. The AK was designed to handle it.

The tolerances are so loose in the ak anything works, hell ive reloaded 556 shells without resizing them and they shot fine out a a Norinco 84s.

I've put a little brass through my AKs but the majority of what I shoot is steel cased.

Steel since its cheapest, I've shot some brass before but its pointless since brass cased costs more and most of the AK's beat it up to bad to be reloaded.

steel, getting brass cased ammo for AKs is a waste. Like TL already said, the AK beats them to hell and back so they can't really be reloaded anyway.

steel, maybe one day I'll see what the costs are for reloading brass ammo vs buying new steel and get a dies set if it is a good investment.

    J/k... I'd get steel-cased if I had an AK47 variant.

Is the AK74 round able to be reloaded or is it that not cost-feasible/too beat up by the gun?

5.45 brass ammo is non existent, you can engineer your own if you wanted too but with the current price of surp its not really worth the trouble. My WASR's kill the 5.45 cases my SAR2 isn't that harsh on them could probably reload cases used in that if I desired to.
