Brand New is aiiiiight. There's definitely better stuff out there than that, it just depends on what you're looking for.

Brand New released a new CD recently which has a very depressing tone (The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me)

Their previous CD (Deja Entendu) is definitely their best, most mature, and smartest CD. While it's a sound to get used to, most people who sit down and get to know the music become hooked fast. The lyrics are intelligent and emotional.

    I recommend:

I Will Play my Game Beneath the Spin Light
Okay I believe you, But my Tommy Gun Don't
Archers (this is on their new CD, and became instantly one of my favorite songs by them)
The Quiet Things that Noone Ever Knows

Those will give you a damn good idea of who Brand New is.

thanks for the info, there's one track i heard a while back and im pretty sure it was from one of these two bands. One line from the song was "I called her on the phone and she touched herself, I laughed myself to sleep." any one ever hear it before ?

Lead singer of Say Anything has a terrible singing voice, though.

Deja Entendu > any of their work.

For the time they took between albums I was expecting something a hell of a lot better.

Say Anything is about as close as pop music will ever get to genius.

they are amazing, definitely one of my favorite bands.
you favorite weapon and deja entendu are both fantastic, not all that into their new stuff. but I still love them.

I also like Say Anything but I suggest their album Baseball rather than their newer stuff
