    Hi,

I bought a brand new 08 Focus in black. I am a responsible owner and always like my car to shine and look like new. I am in need of suggestions on how to and what to do with the car.

It was given to me little more than a week ago from the dealership. I have seen some details in the paint when looking at it with the sun. It looks like there are minor streaks showing someone rubbing a cloth on the paint on an horizontal position for about 11 inches.

It's notthing big, paint is there. I am thinking that some polish will get rid of it since it's not deep. What do you guys suggest and how and what products should I use and how shall I apply them?

I don't have a parking garage, so I am guessing I am gonna have to do this around 5:30pm (SOCAL) when the sun starts going down.

    Thanks

The wash and wax in an hour part is for cars with paint in very good to excellent condition. You will need to do some claying, then polishing in between the washing and waxing steps.

    Is this the correct order?

    - Wash (let it dry)
    - Clay + Lubricant
    - Polish (entire car or some spots?)
    - Wax

    Done?

Yes - you can get some waffle weave towels in the housewares section at Wal-Mart. Make sure you take the tags off and wash them before you use them.

    Yes

    Yes, whole car.

Yes - Be sure to follow directions on the wax.

Target has some good towels for cheap. Orange Vroom microfiber towels in the automotive section.
