i'm moving into a new apartment, and i'm trying to figure out the best way to deal with my media using the hardware i have. the hardware: Xbox 360 Dell Dimension - full tower (3GHz, XP Pro) Dell Optiplex - small form factor (3GHz, XP Pro) Airport extreme router. a bunch of big hard drives in the Dimension. currently i've been using the dimension tower with utorrent and TVersity to stream content to the xbox. my videos are all in formats that the Media Center won't recognize. only problem is that the dimension tower is very big and i assume it uses a lot more power than the optiplex. so, what could be a better setup? a USB NAS connected directly to the Xbox? use the optiplex with TVersity and just make the hard drives USB? XBMC? any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
