i do this alot. but you really gotta stick with it and its kinda hard to do that. in my experience its easier to just run for 30 mins or something than to box for 30 mins. but its definetly much more fun.

    derRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRf

don't be one of the retards who have no idea how to box and just hit the bag for cardio. Just run or learn how to box, either or..you will get a large workout from boxing but you have to take the time to learn technique. hitting a bag is about 2% of it.

    Definitely.:bigthumb:

Maybe do...20 min of rope work, followed by 20 min of shadowboxing and techinque (combinations etc.) and 20min of bagwork.

#1 Hitting the bag with wrong form will cause damage.

#2 timber suggested added things and apparently he does want to "waste time" with the rest of it. Not sure how you shadowbox or throw combinations if you have no idea how to move or throw punches but if its just for a little aerobic exercise there's no harm in that.

:werd: I cannot express enough the importance of learning good form, you'll have a better time anyway than just trying to shadowbox and hit a bag.

i've been boxing for a year and a half. Hitting the bag is really only good to a certain point for cardio. I box and do sprints for cardio. I'm at the point where my arms and shoulders get worn out first before i'm out of breath. I would mix it up with something else.
