I like the idea of not having like 500 lbs of weights in my second floor home gym.

Not to piss in anyones wheaties if you own them, but generally those things are pieces of shit for the price tag, the locking mechanisms stop working after a month or two, and they become pretty paperweights. I know there are a couple of ppl in here that work at Sports Authority, and Academy that can atest to the number of returns on em. The last time I saw some in the store, the display model didnt even work :ugh:

I was in Dick's Sporting Goods one day and i was looking at those. This guy comes up to me and asks "Yeah, i'm thinking about getting those". I say "No, they aren't heavy enough" he says "Yeah right". so I take it and curl it. He was just like "oh...nice"

They're overpriced pieces of shit and the weight limit of 52 pounds makes them absolutely worthless.

Buy some olympic style dumbell bars and the plates that you'll actually need and use and you'll be good to go.

    point taken.

I dont care about the weight limit, as i can buy a couple sets of hex dumbbells to cover the heavier weights...

but if they are POS's with high return rates, I will stay away :)

I dont understand how they work since your not removing/adding anything to them. I do agree they are POS's, most bowflex stuff is marketed toward bodybuilding noobs.
