Hi guys, We just took the Z06 out to the track again at Texas Motorsport Ranch on Friday and Saturday. The new time for the Z is now a 1:19.5 with a passenger in the car. That is over 3 seconds faster than our first run out there. We have the Stoptech 6 piston front brakes installed along with the stock rear brakes. We also have our LG Spindle ducts installed. Of course we had our LG Coil Over suspension installed along with the special LG valved aluminum racing Bilstein shocks that we do in house. Tires were Hoosiers all around. Right now the brakes are the best part of the package showing no indication of giving up. The engine is our cam only package with our LG Pro Long Tube Z06 headers (with exhaust switch) The track was very oily in the morning from a formula car that dumped oil all around the track but by afternoon on Friday and on sat by noon, the track seemed to be in good shape. We ran a 1:14.9 with our World Challenge race car which meant the track was in good shape. I did a bunch of 19's with a passenger in the car, which shows that the car has an 18 in it without a passenger as ballast. These cars are great and respond to very little modification to make them a terrific track car. We do all our testing out at that track, so I know it as good as any track we race on. I know we did a 1:22.xx dead stock so it all has to be the updates. The track conditions were the same when I did the 1:22 because I did a 1:14.7 that day in my World Challenge Corvette, and a 1:14.9 during this test. So the track was about the same. WE were testing a few potential team mates in our second car. We tested 3 drivers, and 2 of them looked good enough to race with us in the series. We shall see. Track record in a Z06 is this time, 1:19.5. We were running all over the two Porsche GT2 cars out there, in fact they slowed my fast lap up I know that there is a Galardo that runs 1:22s out there and the Porsche GT2s run 19s also but they are not streetable. The Z is an amazing car to begin with. Our goal is to get into the 18's very soon.
