That's some hardcore shit. I'm gonna call Louie Simmons and tell him about this. It could completely change the world of strength training!

My high school strength coach sucked donkey dick. Every day, he had us do the same circuit training followed by the infamous Buckeye power routine. Needless to say, I lifted with the team once. Came in on the last day of my senior year, broke the records for bench, squat, and dead... and walked out. They didn't like me too much and didn't put my name on the wall. :mamoru:

I agree, Louie is stuck in the 70's with his squats and deadlifts, its shitty for athletes. All these years the solution was obvious, more curls.

jesus fuck man... the spotter bars on the power racks... all bent to shit... also, there are now 2 power racks, there were 5 when I went there... and a lot of shit has been replaced with machines... we had nice benches, no clue where they went, only one left, I guess the kids didn't take care of the shit...

it was pretty sad too, the highest squat was 415 or so I'm pretty sure, we had several when I went... I think we had 4 of us above 500, though 2 were from a class that could use full bodyspots and didn't use the parallel indicator beepy thingies...

when I looked at the board ... strength days consisted of flat bench, db fly's, db curls, incline, bicep machine, abs... for upper body... though I did notice deadlifts on some side chart, which weren't used when I went there, other than the trap bar deads (if you ask me that's more of a squat from the floor)

the shit was pretty bad, I was outlifting all 3 of the coaches in there.. when I went we had an assistant weight lifting coach who was a powerlifter though.. now that I think about it his routine was kinda CPish... i was eating 500-1000 cals a day and always dead from wrestling, yet I still made my strength gains needed for an A in the class... when I saw the charts of the people lifting the highest, it made me kinda sick... :hs:

No shit.. I look at these kids and they're fucking shitpiles... I mean I know I wasn't adonis in high school but fuck... these kids are not trained properly.. and seeing their form is fucking disturbing, I'm sure they've never been taught because the coaches' form was pretty horrible... one tore his pec benching 225, first fucking rep... he was a cool guy but wtf...

I mean I don't research sports training, but it's bad when I have a clue moreso than these people who are supposed to

our school actually stressed a good training regime now that I look back on it, but they never stressed the importance of nutrition
