No... kind of a really greasy pencil. Mash it into the grooves and wipe off the excess

:werd: I carry those in my G26, and 147 gr. Win. Ranger SXT in my SIG 228, Glock 19, and a mixture of both in my Beretta 92 Brigadier Inox. Excellent rounds.

    That's why I'm saying that.

I try to get the hottest stuff for my self-defense ammo in 9mm. Right now it's Corbon +p that does 1350 fps. Use to be Federals' Premium Defense ammo that was around 1200fps or 1100fps.

Wish I could get some 9mm like the .44 Mag ammo Corbon has. 320 Gr, 1270fps, and 1146 ft/lbs energy... I've got a box. Little scared to shoot it now :run: Hopefully get to get some downrange this coming break.

Does .357 Sig even have +p rounds? I read on GT that .40 does not have +P because SAAMI already considers it a High Enough Pressure so they don't recognize any +p loads.

probably going off the theory of every action having an equal and opposite reaction.

since they're recoil operated, the faster the bullet is moving the faster the backwards force of the casing?

    i don't know, i'm no physics major.

Well I like the 147 gr ranger, I don't think speed is the answer with the 9mm, but double tap has some +p 115gr rounds that clock at 1415fps.

i think you need the speed to get the deeper penetration through flesh that you want. the lighter the bullet is, the faster its going to slow down once hitting a fleshy mass (or anything else for that matter).

heavier bullets are great for retaining size and weight upon hitting, but they don't go as deep as most want (around 12")
