Just ordered my Porter Cable buffer but now I'm wondering what you guys recommend for buffing pads. Are there any good package deals? Do I need to buy a velcro backing pad? Thanks in advance.

Lake Country makes good pads. :dunno: I don't know specifically which ones without looking it up, since I don't have a PC.

Yes you need a backing plate, www.detailersparadise.com has starter sets, and their pads are Lake Country pads branded as their own. Great place to deal with too

Meguiars also has some excellent pads with the velcro backing.

Thanks. I'll have to pick up a few when I get some more polish and wax from them.

If you got the PC 7424 from coastaltool, then it should come w/ a 6" velcro backing plate.

I bought the Porter Cable 7336SP from Detailers Paradise. From what I've read, it's comperable to the 7424.

Only difference is the 7424 has a 5" counterweight and the 7336 has a 6" cw, so it should transmit less vibration.
