Stay away from any SKS accessories sold by Tapco. $60 is a nice deal on that. If you want to scope it a quality gas tube mount is an ok way to go if you dont want to drill the reciever for the real mount. I would avoid aftermarket high cap mag's for it, the 10 rounder with stripper clipped ammo isn't that bad.

My new neighbors stopped by last week, one of them told us this:

"My friend went to the pawnshop down the street and bought an SKS WITH a scope for like $250 and had it in like 15 minutes. We shot a log with it at like 1000yds and couldnt figure out why it wasnt moving but it turned out that it was actually GOING THROUGH IT!"

he also informed us that an SKS was an assault rifle incase we didnt know :hsugh:

I was half tempted to offer myself as a target for them at 1000yds but felt it was best to keep my mouth shut :hsugh:

I was told by alot of people that Yugos were total shit, but my uncle said that Yugo SKS's are the only on es that dont have stamped parts.

Have no idea if you can use yugo parts

    I like my Yugo SKS's.

Where would you find a new gas tube? www.e-gunparts.com? Or maybe Sarco inc?
