On sale at Big 5 for $215 including 28" & 18" barrels.

I went to Academy for the ammo though; really expensive at Big 5. :ugh:

A few questions for those of you who have one:

    1) Anyone have a link to a rear buttstock that includes a pistol grip? (Not just a pistol griop.)
    2) Link to a flashlight-holder for mag tube?
    3) Finally - I think the gun has a plug in the mag tube because I could only put two rounds in, but I couldn't figure out how to get the plug out.
The tube should be long enough to hold five rounds, so I'm kind of at a loss. Thoughts?

    Thanks. :big grin:

    Oh. Pic:

Cool I got the 8 shot one a few days ago. I'm picking it up next weekend.

That is the exact model that I have.

To take the mag plug out, take off the barrel, hold the gun upside down and shake it up and down. The "plug" is a wooden dowel with 2 o-rings. It will come out of the hole where the barrel screws into the mag. Just yank out the plug.

Are you sure you want a p.grip stock? A p.grip stock on a Mossy will make switching the safety on/off a bitch and most p.grip stocks will get in the way of the Action Release button.

    :wtf: Seriouslah? :sad2:

They sell *just* a pistol grip for it, so I guess I'm confused about why a pistol grip/buttstock would be worse?

Also - anyone know what the choke is on the 28" barrel? (I assume it's "open" on the 18".)

My 28"VR is Mod. choke. The 18.5" is cylinder bore. Check the barrel, it should say on there.

If you really do want a P.grip stock, I'd go with a Speedfeed or a Knoxx. I'd stay away from ATI.

Flashlight clamps will walk all over the barrel unless you crank the shit out of them. Most people will put a SureFire forend on it, which costs more than the gun did. Others put railed forends on, with somewhat better results.. still expensive.

This is the best clamp I found:

That said, it still walked, and I sold it to someone on Shotgunworld. I'll be putting either a SureFire 6XX forend, or an M70 railed forend on it one day.

Shit. I can make something in my friend's metal shop for way less than that. I just need to figure out rail dimensions and whip something up. :)

About #1, I got this one for mine but I haven't gotten around to installing it yet. Build quality seems good though.

I have that one, got if off Ebay. Works alright, but does get in the way for the safety and release.

DON'T GET AN ATI STOCK.....they're fucking trash. They look like dog-ass too.

Go with Knoxx, or Butler Creek, or Speedfeed.

I'm selling my Butler Creek steel-folder if you're interested, I like it, but it doesn't work for lefties. Looks fuckin' cool though. Plus once you install it, you can take off the stock and it can be pistol-grip only.

Hm. Not really a fan of how folders look. I am also a lefty. Looks like a Speedfeed down the road.

    How does that tri-rail mount/work?

You asking sprite? Because Jaime's gun cannot accept a mag extension.
