How do you think I did? got it for $150 w/ a 20 round box of ammo. it's a 1948 izhevsk
Looks nice. It's a refurb, which I don't personally like but makes for a darn nice gun. Is it counterbored, do the serial numbers match? What kind of ammo did you get? And $150 I guess would be fair these days as that's how much it would cost after shipping and FFL.
life size pictures?
if it's counterbored, can't really tell with the bad lighting in this room. serial #'s all match. 20 rounds, dunno the manufacture. the bottom is blank. dark green-ish grey casing, brass bullet with light silver tip, dark grey primer.
i meant your pictures are so damn big
No online dealer has M44's, they've dried up.
Here you go. I suppose at $80 with $20 shipping and $20-30 FFL you'd get it a bit cheaper but not by much.
EDIT: Oops, didn't realize they were out of stock, sorry. They weren't a week ago.
So does that mean I should wait a little longer to sell my Mosins?
Its a fun gun to shoot, and the best bang for you buck you will find. A buck fifty seems steep, but since obamarama I can't judge prices worth a damn. Anyways, enjoy it.
Get a box of wolf and check out the flash.
I've paid $150 for nice rifles with good bores. My definition of "good" seems to be in line with what everyone describes as "mint, perfect, like new", which isn't quite correct. Just getting one that isn't pitted to hell seems to be hard.
