I strayed from my original plan of buying an F3. Instead, I went with a 1991 F2. This is my first bike. :o

The paint is in excellent shape, it has never been dropped. The motor runs well. It has a little under 40k miles. It came with the Yoshimura exhaust and a rear seat cover.

Under 3k. $3,500 was my budget. Now I have over $500 to spend on accessories, like sliders. :o

Yeah, and I got my M1 about 3 weeks ago.

Congratulations! It looks really clean. If you're ever in the South Bay area, maybe we can go cruise together!

Congratulations dude! You'll love that bike. F2s are a great bike to learn on. Bulletproof, relatively forgiving, and loads of fun so you won't get bored too quickly.

The one you got is in great shape!!!

    Thanks man!

I'm in Hawthorne almost every Friday and the weekend. Last week I went out with my cousins and their friends. There were about 8 of us. All kinds of bikes. A Ducati, 3 R6s, 3 GSX-Rs, a CBR 600rr. We went down PCH, took it to Palos Verdes, Laguna Beach.

Get yourself a good set of tires for it. Having sticky tires greatly improves your cornering confidence. Also might look at a set of steel braided front brake lines. They'll give you a bit firmer braking over the stock rubber lines. Good tires, braided brake lines, and a set of frame sliders would be the best first things to get for the bike.

Actually, looking at those pics again, do yourself a HUGE favor, take off those plastics, hang them up in your garage, and ride the bike naked. Those fairings are freakin MINT, you WILL drop the bike at some point, and frame sliders don't provide much fairing protection.

    Thanks for the compliments guys.

I will get sliders put on this week. What kind do you recommend? I've seen plastic ones and carbon fiber ones with metal end caps. Also, for the F2, do the sliders replace a fairing screw, or do they have to be drilled into a piece of metal in near the engine?

I just got the bike checked out and tuned up. The mechanic explained that the bike is running lean, caused by the Yoshimura pipe. He recommends a Factory Jet Kit. I could run with my current set up for a while, but I want to get the kit put on ASAP. What kind of difference will I see with the kit?

Very cool! That's a really pretty ride. This weekend was pretty nice too! Whereabouts are you located? There are bike nights on Wednesdays up in the Valley and in Hollywood, Thursdays down here in Torrance, and I think a couple more in Huntington Beach, but I forget what days those are. I've only been to a couple, but never on my bike. My boyfriend doesn't like me riding alone. No, I'm not gay, I'm a b!tch that doesn't ride b!tch. :wavey:

Anyways, maybe we go ride sometime together! Are you pretty comfortable on it already?

Oh yah, and I have black Graves sliders on my '03 R6. I just put them on this weekend. I didn't have to cut my left side fairing, but I had to cut the right one. :wtc: They replace a bolt in the frame.

I don't know much about jet kits though.

Wednesday nights on the corner of Beach Blvd. and Garfield in the parking lot of this Mexican restaurant. Make a left on Garfield if you're going south on Beach & turn right into the first driveway otherwise you'll have to go about half a block and make a U-turn on a pretty busy street. :o

I've only been there a couple of times. My friend flipped his bike so I can't ride with him & going by myself is weird since I don't know anyone there.
