I've always been lurking this particular forum, looking at other peoples work.
When I was younger id also use my dads camera taking pictures, so it's always been an interest.

So I decided to go and buy a digital camera, I did'nt want something to cheap, something alot of people said is pretty good. Decided to buy a Canon 350d.

Now I live in the Channel Islands, Jersey to be more specific (not new jersey).

The sunsets pretty much suck, there are no beautiful rivers and for an island the coastline is ugly, but I went walking around where I lived just to learn the camera and show some friend in denmark, at first checking out the automatic settings to get a basic grasps of what settings I should be using in manual, some are some are not.

Really hard to find something of interest here.
My first shots ever so yeah they are pretty crap, was cloudy, need to work on leveling my camera, some are pretty off. < - quote for truth:p

Pretty hard to find something on this island thats any good really, need to find some events or work with people. Don't know really.

Edit: Is it me or does'nt opera like imageshack, ca';t seem to view fullimages, only In IE.

If you are going to take pictures with the a ton of sky then you should invest in a circular polarizer filter. Will turn those white ugly parts of the picture into a nice natural blue. :bigthumb:

Other then that I like your pics....I just got my D70 today and have yet to make it out for a solid photoshoot ....just playing around indoors for now.

    I'll look into those filters.
But some of them actually had a white overcast sky, does the filter help with that?

Okay that cleared things up, I thought, that you thought the sky was blue and it came out white.

It was actually white clouds :)

Well, I don't like how my pinky hangs off the edge of it. Try out the grip at a store if you're unsure, it feels like a totally different camera. :)
