im pretty good in my stomach area and the upper portion of my body is trim and fine...
but past my hips and it all goes down hill.

i think my thighs and whatever else are a bit bigger than i'd want them to be, for my size and my weight. i kind of look out of proportion and thickset when im really not :sad2:

i was told just to run... but i dont wanna get really crazy and muscular either gross thighs either. just leaner in that area.

    hm?

different people tend to hold their weight in different areas. I'd read the fat loss sticky and do some cardio at least 2x a week.

then i cant wait for veins to start popping out :eek3:

    hah.

but yeah.. iii think thats where all my weight is.
i just dont wanna get sickly skinny in other areas just so i can lose some on my legs though, ya know? i wasnt 100% on if running targets that (i mean, obviously it does but... i was cautious about if it makes me lose weight in general) :dunno:

you can't spot reduce. running simply burns calories which can result in burning fat from all over, provided you burn more calories throughout the day (doing daily activities + supplemental exercise) than you take in.

i think wording it like this makes some people confused.. some people take it as "oh, i burned 400 calories on the treadmill.. i can only eat 350 calories today! "

:barf: Just don't take it that far

Proper dieting is what you're looking for, maybe doing some cardio 2-3 times a week and lifting weights 4-5 times a week

I bet my definition of thick is not your definition of thick. :wiggle:

    Vida Guerra = perfectly thick.

you're making things harder than they have to be. Bigger thighs = look better, and with more muscle - your body will be able to metabolize more fat so it's easier to stay leaner year round. You really can't lose with thick thighs. Don't beleive someone that says it's genetics, almost anything can be fixed with a little will power

its one thing to have a nice shape.

its another to start getting outta control with a tiny frame.
